  What: Every year the DSPHC volunteers to run a water station at the Coastal Delaware Running Festival.  If you helped in the past, you know it is a lot of fun (even though it is early)!  You get a t-shirt, you get to go to the post-race afterparty, and you can help runners have a phin-tastic race!  So, come out and volunteer to hand out water and Gatorade, cheer on the runners, and have a great time!

  When: April 12th - it is an early morning, and I won't pretend it isn't.  But we will have music playing and maybe even some coffee and donuts to keep that energy level up!  Our water stations help runners in three races - marathon, 1/2 marathon, and 9k.  The marathon starts at 7:00am so volunteers will need to be there between 6:00 and 6:30 to get everything prepped and ready to go. The majority of the runners will be through by about 9:30, but there will be a few slower 1/2 marathoners passing through after that.  Hopefully we should be finished around 10:30. Annnnd...then we get to head to the afterparty when we are done!  It is lots of fun!
  
  Where: Gordon's Pond Parking Area, Cape Henlopen State Park in Rehoboth Beach.  There should be plenty of parking and there will be porta-potties at our station (along with the park-maintained ones).

• Silent Auction Basket Making Party!

  BASKET BUILDING BONANZA!

  Hello Parrot Heads!

  Come help us build Silent Auction baskets for Boat Drinks! Even if you can only give an hour or two, your help will get us ready for the Silent Auction, and you can enjoy some social time with friends while you're at it.

  When: Saturday, April from 1:00 p.m. until we're done!
  Where: Traci & Keith's House - 24409 Cabernet Street, Lewes

  Here's what needs to be done...

  • Add donated items to themed baskets
  • Add up prices to determine the values of each basket
  • Basket photography
  • Have a drink and socialize with friends
  • Wrap baskets in cellophane and tie them up all pretty
  • Record descriptions and prices, then tape them to the baskets
  • Have another drink and socialize with friends

  Pizza will be served. Please RSVP by April 15 so we know how much pizza to buy. Keith may be making special drinks for us, but you are also welcome to BYOB. Sides and desserts to share are always welcome, too.

  P.S. REMINDER: All donations must be received by April 15 so we have them in time for Basket Building, record keeping, and photography. NO EXCEPTIONS.
